hi everybody, this community is really technical and useful so i need some tips from you guys that are more expert than me.
i'm about to compete in a wing foil race and i assume a good result is the combinations of those factors:
- Ability to stand up on the board faster and of course faster getting on the foil
- Ability on jibing
- Cruising Speed
Regarding this last point the gear is important so let's analyze with the following weather conditions, the best options i can get to have the maximum speed considering i'm 128 lb:
wind up to 12 knots: 5 or 6 M wing and at least 2200 cm front foil wing
wind between 12 and 15 knots: 5 M wing and 1500 cm front foil wing
wind between 15 and 22 knots: 4 M wing and 800 front foil wing
wind more than 22 knots: 3 M wing and 800 front foil wing
What do you think?

Add to that: Harness, knowing how tack and smallest foil-wing foiling wins.

Harness should only improve upwind ability?

I’m thinking harness and one of those ice wings...non inflatable, should increase upwind 20 degrees or so.
But that’s just speculation until I can find one and try it out. :)
