I see that the F-One Swing has an available harness line. Has anyone put a windsurfing harness line on the boom of a Duotone wing, and if so what length did you find worked best? Seems like Duotone is even more suited or a harness line than F-One
thanks
Don

I made one for mine, just a length of spectra and a piece of plastic tubing. Tied on with a clove hitch. I don't know how long I made it, I fiddled with the length. I started with the belt at waist level but switched to chest height--works better. Unhook well before you start a jibe or change to a broad reach. Only works well close reaching.

Don,
Mine on the F-one is about 16 inches from the wing. I tried longer and shorter and around 16" works really well.
The advantage of the boom is you can use harness lines, but F-one has a built in harness line attachment and it really seems to be in the perfect spot.
I highly recommend a harness line. I use it every time I am sailing upwind as it is easier and gives me 20% more upwind angle with no strain on the arms.
Once you get used to them you won't want to sail with out them.

Thanks Pono and Supkailua , I have a few different harness lines from my windsurfer quiver and will give them a try. I imagine they can really save the arms and shoulders especially sailing up wind

Hi Caribsurf
Hows the windwinging going? Found this vid which may be helpful. Some good tips. The harness info is at the end :)

hey Supunk, my water sports are on hold for a couple weeks. I had yet another suspicious mole cut out and have a bunch of stitches in my side and can't get wet again until after the new year. Thankfully it wan't cancerous. After 2 melanomas, I have to be really careful.
I was really enjoying the wing/foil learning curve. But a couple days it was too windy for my 4m Duotone, but thought maybe with a harness it could be manageable.
Thanks for that video...heading down to Grenadines for 2 weeks next month with gear in tow and will be wing foiling down there. Happy Holidays
