Title: curve travel bags
Post by: supsean on December 22, 2019, 09:02:13 AM
Hey folks. Trouble finding a SUP travel bag for my 8'10" Sunova Steeze. I can get get a SUNOVA bag, but will take too long to get (and quite pricey) I was thinking of this Curve bag. Seems to tick off the 10mm foam and good zipper requirements, and seems to be a good quality. Not a "coffin" bag, but it is quite big and I could fit lots of packing in it to make it better.

Looks like good reviews....

The price isn't bad either.

Thanks y’all. I may have time for the sunova bag and it’s not that much more (and will fit perfectly). If not curve seems to be the best option.

Went for it as sunova would take too long. Thanks for the advice

I received the Curve bag--thanks for the advice. Looks good. Seems rugged enough to make the trip to CA. Nice looking zipper, padding seems good and a number of handles on it. Fits my 8'10" Sunova Steeze quite well  (bag is 9'). I saw that other bags put additional padding in the front and back. This bag does not. Could probably use it. Luckily it has enough room so I can do some of the packing techniques that I have found in this forum and on Seabreeze--plumbing insulation, sheets of cardboard, etc.. Also, feel that I will have to run some sort of strap around it to tighten the bag a bit when I travel to take up the slack.

I will put the paddle inside the bag for the flight, but it will be good to have that paddle holder when I'm not in the air.
