I made this video to show how the 12 Point Break works in everyday surf.
Small, weak waves can be a lot of fun!
But this board really excels when the waves get good!

I really enjoyed this video. Why? Because on the upper Texas coast where I sup surf at, small waves are our normal everyday waves. When those waves show up on the Bolivar Peninsula and along the Galveston Seawall, one won't find many prone surfers. Why? Most of people are using 6'-7' in length with 22" in width or narrower performance prone surf boards where the boards have 90-115 liters of volume in them. And the same goes for sup boards.
And these people weigh a lot more than the volume in their boards. The small waves just don't provide enough "dynamic lift" to give these people a nice long ride. They are lucky if they get a 5 second ride.
But, if someone goes to the surf shops and rents a sup, someone will find a lot of Rivieria sups in 11' length and 200 liters. These length sups give riders a good length ride in our small waves.
Your Point Break which is 12' x 32" @ 197 liters would surf well at Bolivar, the Galveston Seawall and my favorite place, Surfside. And if they are no waves at all, like glass, your Point Break would sup surf well by catching a bow tanker wave from an incoming tanker ship in the Houston Ship Channel.
This is why I really enjoy my Sup Spots 11'1" x 30" @ 173 liters One World and my Blue Planet 10'5" x 32" @ 190 liters Duke for sup surfing since most of the waves on the upper Texas coast, the waves are small and this is our norm.
And just like with your Point Break, my One World and Duke are very nice for flat water paddling.
BTW, thanks for listing the PB's specifications and for showing the fin configuration along with the length of the fins. I loves details and these specs are very important to me. One last item. Good to see Sunova made the Point Break with 5 fin boxes. I am a firm believer in a quad fin setup for small waves.
Oh, almost forgot. Near the end of the video, I got a "kick" out of the foiler pumping his legs fast trying to surf the small waves and then taking a "face plant" in front to his foil board. ;)

That sandbar is super shallow if you are not on the shoulder, he got caught too shallow a few times and it was like tripping over his sneakers...BAM ;D

Another quality Creek video.That board looks unreal. Is it difficult to lift onto roof racks?
I would love to order a Point Break! Funny that I'm still considering new boards in my state of disrepair!

Nice on the weight, Creek. Unfortunately I'm sitting on four surf sups here. Ot only do I not have room to store a beautiful board like that but my wife would not be pleased with me ordering another board. But I appreciate your offer and LOL with your Sidelines comment.

Cookie, Your boards are probably pretty short, but that 12' I have is no harder to handle than my 10-6 and much better behind the barrier island on the flats. It would be good to see you drive one of those down-the-line.

Yes Newps.... it is a super fun board!
I have pretty much ridden it in everything and have a blast on it.

I love my Starboard Whopper - 10' x 34" x 4 1/3" 171L - w/ FCS GL-1 fins. I bought it for a girlfriend as a harbor paddler. However once I got it in the surf with the GL-1 fins it really came alive. This SUNOVA Point Break looks like it will be even better than the Whopper in the surf with the additional glide and the narrower width. I don't think I can get in on this order but we will see.
