I'm looking to get a new foil to be used with the prone board. I'm currently looking at Lift 200 front wing, 50 or 40 back wing and 28" mast and the Armstrong CF1600 kit. Inputs from you great foilers needed. Thanks.

I foil with quite a few guys who ride armstrong. They ALL ride the 1200. Even the ones that own the 1600, only ride the 1200... Though they were also just complaining about their inability to pump and get multiple waves.

I ride Armstrong 1200, 1550, and 2400. Recently sold my 1600 after getting the 1550 (too much overlap). Depending on your weight and skill level, the 1550 kit may be better than the 1600. If you are on the beginner end of the spectrum, the 1600 may be better than the 1550 or Lift (no first hand experience), which I feel may be better suited to intermediate riders. The 1600 is great for learning and progressing into intermediate.
I weigh 145 and double dip with the 1200 no problem. 1550 has me flying around the line up. 2400 has me checking my lack of fitness on dock starts (started running again after a rude awakening dock starting). 1600 was tough for me unless it was really gutless due to the high lift at lower speeds for my lightweight.

Thank you both for replying. I'm learning to pump at this time and is transition away from the Kenalu 1st generation foil. It sounds like the Armstrong 1200 may be the one given that I'm only 150 lbs. I will have the opportunity next week to test ride the Lift Classic 200.

Are you talking about the Go Foil Nalu or the Ke Nalu Iwa?

I think the main difference may be mast flex. The Armstrong also gives you way more wing choices so more room to grow later on. I’ve only ridden naish and just got a lift 200 though. Never ridden Armstrong
