I’ve heard of two places to surf up here, ones a pretty good hike that I’m not into lugging the Point Break into it. Anyone know of any decent breaks up here in Downeast Maine, MDI in particular?
Stuck up here working but have my boards!
Thx

I just got back from Bar Harbor- It was right as some long period stuff was trickling in. I took my kids on a lobster tour and there was a great playful left coming off one of the barrier island. Id have to imagine there is some great surf when long period swell hits all those nooks and crannies.
There was even enough swell that a knee high wave popped up during the tide shift in side the harbor that i saw someone boogie board on.
Sorry not more help but totally stoked to hear what you find.

With the swell coming I'd try and put in at a cove and paddle out. I'm not familiar with it but otter cove looks like a good place to park and put in.

Thx Stone, I was told about Otter Cove and The Sea Wall at Wonderland, also the Cranberry Islands must pick up swell but I don’t have a boat handy. Hoping to score something tomorrow afternoon, praying 🙏
The local Bar Harbor sup shop gave me some pointers, Arcadia SUP, seems like a nice guy

Popham's would be a 3+ hour drive south from MDI.
