Title: Upset by problems with your board? Slam them on CL..
Post by: TallDude on August 07, 2019, 08:41:09 AM
I came across this on CL today. I gather it's from an unhappy SUP purchaser, but they seem to have a lot of pictures of other damaged boards. It reads like a class action lawsuit in the making. Their repair / build comments are also not accurate? Wonder who posted this?

Yep I agree the poster's goal is to get a little collateral revenge slamming in, but doing it creatively, by making it as easy as possible for other VESL owners to take advantage of the warranty.

Points for being thorough...

Well that didn't last long. CL removed it. I guess it was worth a one day rant?   ::)

When I was looking at getting my third sup, before I finally settled on going with Blue Planet, I was looking at a 10'6" x 32" @ 165 liters VESL with 5 fin boxes. But that low price of $899 for the model I was looking at, which is at the link below, gave me reservations in my "gut" about the durability of their boards. And I wanted more than 165 liters.

After seeing those pictures in that link (before the link was removed), I'm glad I didn't choose that VESL in my link above.

Looks like I'll be removing my "Favorites" bookmark direct link to VESL now.
