The beginning opening of the video with the burning surfboard was the cat's meow.
Those young men, including your son, know what they want to do with their life, what purpose they want to for their life and most importantly, how to get that purpose. I already know how they feel because I made the same type of decision some 38 years ago.
This is why I chose the maritime industry for my life and for my life's purpose. And I have never regretted my decision. I will say though, some of my "bosses" higher up in the food chain in the industry........wished I had not made the maritime industry my life's work. ;)
Thanks for sharing the video.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting. Great to hear such a positive outlook from a couple of young men. We hear so much negativity this was a welcome relief.
Cheers

Excellent documentary about some awesome folks!
The life they are living is full and rewarding.
I fully appreciate what he said about really living a life with no regrets, taking risks and "being" instead of droning along the standard path.

Oh to be young again. Three of my old roommates I lived with in San Clemente (in the early 80's), surfed and worked as Hot Shots for Cal Fire. Now one's a Fire Captain and the other two are Battalion Chiefs. None them are / were that good looking, in that kinda shape or could surf that well ::) That's awesome for your son. I haven't seen that Seager Grit Company before (I just don't pay that close of attention). I'll look for it in the surf shops. Nice partnership with Coors too $$$. Sweet deal... but hard work cutting lines and setting back fires up and down hills in rough hot terrain. Not to mention that you are on the edge of getting burned to death. Props big time.
