Another gutless summer session but this morning NorthJerzSurfer joined me surfing a used custom sup for the first time which I thought was impressive considering the waves on offer. NJS makes his appearance about 1:38 of the video. It was fun chatting and sharing waves.

Looks like a nice chill day 8)

Sweet zoner hook up. Those are the waves we get most of the time. Any sunny day surfing with friends is the best.

Nice! Love that sunrise orange! NJS has some quality stoke on offer. Great you guys session-ed togeth.

Great Morning LB! You were smooth as always. looking at the cam footage (i'd never seen myself on video before) was pretty cool! Defenitely not my highlight reel!
man I hope we get some waves soon. The board I am riding is certainly too little volume for the conditions, but being new (to me) I had to try it...and we havent had any waves in a month over knee high!
BTW the board was shaped by fellow Zoner Fanman. Although I havent met him- this was just one of his shapes that found its way into the used market locally.
Snapped this pic of LB when I pulled up

I can relate to the triple digit heat indexes we've been having since June 18th. The high pressure dome of air above us suppresses the wind and our waves are wind driven.
But looking at your video, you had a nice session. Thanks for sharing the video.

That was fun!
Good to see you boys enjoying a little Dawner!
Great TAG share, that worked out well :)

Nice session. Looks like there were a few little bombs coming through. SUP is what makes these days possible.
I've surfed the east coast and west coast a little when I was younger, but don't really remember the vibe, however, watching a lot of Youtube, it seems like the east coast vibe is a lot more chill, with less aggression. Is that true, in general?

Hi Oki, I’ve been surfing in NJ since 1987 and have never personally dealt with any localism or bad vibe. Since transitioning to sup surfing I manage to stay clear of regular surfers if where I am people paddle out I move and always get my share of waves. In my area there are very few sup surfers which honestly I’m fine with. Also, I’m an early riser and manage to sup surf solo almost all the time. Finally. I’ll take a lesser wave to avoid a crowd it works for me.

That's the key, I think.
