Title: Mushy waves North Jersey 7_19_19
Post by: LBsup on July 19, 2019, 10:49:07 AM
We’ve had a long stretch of small to no waves.  I have surfed some lately but have not setup the Soloshot.  I wanted to test it since the last few times were fails.
Water is warm nice to be trunking it for a change.  there are tons of sting rays swimming just below the surface.  It was cloudy and cooler early am but forecast is for HOT weather the next couple days around these parts.  Apparently, the waves forecasted are remnants of TS Barry.

Looks like great fun. No crowds, warm water and peelings waves. LB you are the king of “bend your knees” surfing. Totally solid stance. Thanks for posting.

Cheers

Bob

Lookin good LB! Do you ever fall?  :P
I've been bummin' with this fin cut even though the waves are tiny. Need  need to have this crater close up before I jump back in.

Hey Marc, I do fall but I like the idea of finishing my ride standing then paddle back out I feel like I get a better workout especially on small days.

I hope that heals for you soon.

Got to take care of that shit right away. Bacteria in the ocean is nothing to mess around with.

Been doin' just that w/peroxide and alcohol to keep it clean. Four days outa the water now and the last time I was in was for one surf lesson which is equal to two hrs of ocean exposure. Thing is it's so humid now that it seems to be at a crawl closing up. At least it's not oozing puss!

On the upper Texas coast, we have lots of days where the waves are almost non-existent. My One World and Duke longboard sups with lots of liter volume in them easily handle those waves in conjunction with my low physical weight.

BTW, that was another nice video and as always, thanks for sharing your videos.

This is day 5 dry dock for me and I just realized that we have coconut oil in the house so I started applying it. hopefully I'll be in the water soon with the solo shot fired up
