Hit the perfect surf on my longboard and the first stroke out to the lineup was really painful on my shoulder (right one). Rotator cuff was diagnosed in 2008 as an underlying tear. One of the main reasons I took up sup full time in 2011. Was a miracle I was able to prone surf today around the pain, estimate it around a 4-5. I think I mighta aggravated it sleeping on my easy chair and also my couch. I got a new cat and he yowls in the middle of the night so I've been going out and sleeping w/him. My bed is WAY more comfortable!
I really wanted to get back on the longboard today since it was just the right conditions for it. Beautiful late winter day. This spot hadn't broke in quite a while and was seriously picking up the swell so perfect. It was bigger here than anywhere else on the island.

Nice Marc! Bummer to hear about your shoulder. I had two shoulder surgeries years ago so I know what your going through.

Nice one 8) Dig the vid and dig the waves. Totally worth the pain.
Winters and Black cats are known aggravators to shoulders ;D

After the howling, Marc... I think I would have taken the cat for a tandem. 'Think the cold water aggravated the shoulder? (it's fricking 41f. here)
