I'm looking at a 9'9 BB. I can find plenty of info on the smaller and bigger models, but not much on the 9'9. Has anyone ridden one? It sounds like the 9'6 can be challenging to ride, and the 10'1 gets great reviews, but what about the 9'9? Thanks.

The 9’6” is actually pretty stable. I was riding it at 210 plus wetsuit without any major issues.

Thanks Bean, the volume of the 9'9 is where I want to be (>130) and the 10'1 at 160L is more than I need. But, the silence is interesting - has anyone ridden the 9'9? I can't find any reviews on it.

Yeah, I only have the 10'1" and absolutely love it, I could go down a bit in volume easily, but.......it gets me on a wave when nothing else will.
-
I also have the 10'1" (with the concave) - a great board.
I'd love to try both smaller size versions, but haven't.
Also with and without the concave.
For me, an issue isn't just surfing but paddling and catching.
For me, even the 10'1" is a bit of a slow paddler, I think mostly because
of the tail rocker - maybe the concave?

I haven’t run into anyone who has actually ridden the 9’9” either.
What makes you want to stay in the 130+ volume?

Thanks Bean, I've sent you PM.
So, no-one riding the 9'9 by the look of it?

Ding - you can always e-mail Jimmy/Marlon, they are pretty good about responding, and that's pretty much the only board Jimmy rides I believe, so he may be able to give you more insight.
I love my 10'1", and I'm 170 lbs, I wouldn't mind less width/overall volume however.
