Title: Places to Foil in North OC- Learning

I love SanO but a bit far from the homestead in Redondo.  El Porto is closer but being a newbie I don't want to go there.  Are there places down in North OC, with gutless waves, thus no surfers so that I can learn to prone-foil?

I am learning too.  the WCFC guys go out at the bolsa chica jetty, south side.  I am planning on hitting that when i am up here and want to go out at lunch or after work.
