That's a nice board at a good price. I have plenty of friends that use it as an allround board. From flat through choppy and for downwinds is perfect for someone over 180 lb.

Hey Eastbound - is your Bullet the TWC or SCC construction?

Thanks!

It'll say it right on the rail, near the tail.

Should be that the 14V2 only comes in SCC -> as the Bullet V1 only comes in TWC the past few years.

I like that they still offer the V2 in both constructions. The TWC Bullet is a great deal at only $1799 new, and it's less than 10% heavier than the SCC version.

The 14V2 @27 lbs has only come in SCC from its inception.  But the Bullet 14 @31.5 lbs is now TWC.  A few years ago that board was made using carbon.  The 12'6 comes in both layups.

The V2 is a single concave.  The Bullet 14 double concave.  For bigger DW conditions the nose rocker allows the Bullet 14 to scoot along faster for me.  That board is perfect for the conditions we get in HS.  But have only used the old carbon versions in fixed fin and ASS.  Did not like the ASS -> but really enjoyed the fixed fin.  A bunch of old stock ASS were bought a couple years ago and a number were converted to fixed fin.

Thanks, Eagle! I found the SIC Maui page confusing, as they don't list the V1/V2 on the main page that shows all the boards. After re-reading your comment and looking closer at the product descriptions, I see that you're right about V1 being TWC and V2 being SCC. I mistakenly thought they'd dropped the V1 altogether, at least in 14' length.

On second thought, is the 2018 SIC Maui catalog wrong? Because the table of boards on pages 23-24, and the Bullet page (34) show only Bullet V2's (TWC and SCC) in 14' lengths:

Yeah see that in the catalog.  That would be a first as the 14V2 has always been advertised and sold as SCC.  Might be an oversight.  So would go by the SIC website and what retailers are selling at this point.  Basically can go by weight and selling price to differentiate TWC and SCC.  TWC is a lot less expensive.
