Title: Not a surf day
Post by: stoneaxe on January 04, 2018, 11:34:03 AM
Crazy storm surge...massive high tide. I was watching it rise at the bottom picture location...Stephens field..came up 6" in just minutes. Waves in the parking lot and the ball field. It's been a long time since I've seen it this high. I got down near the beach just before the cops closed the road. Houses on Water St in Plymouth are islands with 2' of water surrounding them. Long beach...top pics is getting pounded...sea wall breaking in a few spots. They just spent some significant $ on a break wall (still under construction you can see the pile of boulders still to be added) in front of the beige building in the back.....blowing right over it like nothing.
