Title: Any Tomo shapes on the South Shore?
Post by: Philn on January 08, 2015, 03:42:23 PM
I'm intrigued by what I've read about Tomo inspired SUPs. Is there anyone in Honolulu who sells them? Even better if they have demo boards so I could try it first.

Production models from most manufacturers are only just starting to trickle out. Maybe in a few months you'll see the Naishs and Starboards around. Jay Richardson of Surfboards Makaha does the Hammerhead, which has some similarities. Kyle Bernhardt has done a few snub nosed custom boards as well. I dunno if snub nosed counts as 'Tomo inspired' or not.

Hi Exiled... I just now saw your question.

You have a local source, that looks to be one of the best.... the Kazuma "Tanto"

Yes, they look nice, but none of the production models are quite in my range, plus they are on a different island. Those two factors make doing a demo tricky. Local, but not local enough unfortunately.
