Just wanted to let people know there's a growing community of stand up paddleboarding on aruba as well. I've made a personal journal that has some footage. Let me know what you think

You sir, are a martyr for the cause! ;D
I like the family feel of these videos...clearly a great time.

My future in-laws have a timeshare at the Marriott down there, I got to go a few years ago. Wasn't much happening SUP at the time but I'm excited that it is picking up. How are the rental boards in general on the island? Is Fanatic a widely used brand there (an Allwave is my definite next board)?
Thanks for what you are adding to the sport.

It's definitely picking up... Well typical boards here are, JP Australia, Fanatic, Jimmy Lewis and some of the plastic stuff at the hotel. A friend of mine also has some Mistrals.
I am hooked on SUP so i like doing what I can.
On aruba they are renting these boards out at the hotel without instruction, so you'll see people on boards having a horrible time (holding the paddle backwards for example) and I will always try and give some pointers if I happen to paddle by.
Even-though supping is pretty easy people underestimate the instruction necessary to enjoy it the first couple of times.

Cryogenic revival to this thread.
Going back to Aruba May 28-June 4.
I see there about two places that rent standup paddleboard in Aruba. But I don't see anything that looks reasonable for a weekly rental rate.
Any new updates on rental places in Aruba in the last year?
