Post by: photosettle on July 15, 2007, 11:26:08 AM
Looking for a board bag for a 10'2" that is preferable plane worthy.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have two suggestions.  We bought 4 custom bags from these guys http://www.dsurf.com/ (http://www.dsurf.com/) contact at 1-800-886-7999.  Ours were all 9'2 to 9'10, so I cannot give you a price on a 10'2.  The quality is top notch (we have flown with them and no damage (whew!) to bags or boards.

The second is that Heavy Water magazine states that DaKine has a 10'6 x 28 for $210.  I have not seen one in any stores on Maui yet, so they may not be out.

There are a few bigger bags (12+), but the bag market seems a bit behind the board cycle.

I hope that helps!

I have a 12' Da Kine that my board was shipped from Oahu in. Its a bit large for the 9'6" but might be ok for your 10'2. You'd have plenty room to pad for travel. Perfect condition and I'd sell it pretty cheap since's its too big for me. Let me know if any interest. On Maui. Probably not worth shipping anywhere.

Thanks noworrieshawaii.  I have already purchased one from infinity.

Sincerely,

Noworrieshawall... I need a bag for my 11' .. sure it's not worth it? I'm on the East Coast. Throw a couple of carved coconut heads in the bag and that way it will really be worth it! ;)
