One of those things where you start watching one video, then it suggests another, and another.......
LAIRD HAMILTON MAUI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdzC9g5UsRQ&NR=1&feature=fvwp
#)
Several things I thought when I watched it. First of all, it looks like he's out there flippin'em crap. And their flippin it back. They almost appear to be dueling... paddle vs mast!
And second, geez, the size of the waves he's out there playing on. I wish I could be 1/2 that stable on waves 1/2 that size!

The figure 8's were cool my guess is they are friends.

Wow, i haven't seen that video in a while.
I'm pretty sure that windsurfer in the red sail is Levi Siver, one of the most talented sailors in the world. I think those guys were sharing waves on purpose, although it looks like Laird might be giving a couple of those other guys some grief. Who knows if they deserved it.
That's a decently windy day. Too windy for me to be paddling at Ho'o or Lanes.
That board looks SO long now.

That is a great video!

14' board, there was an autographed one of them for sale at Hawaiian Island Surf and Sport. I suspect Lenny picked it up at a charity auction.
Yeah, that looks like Levi. No question they were just screwing around.
