Title: training without a board, just a paddle.

hi guys, i have started last year to do training on the side of  a waterhole nearby. i just take  a paddle on my bicycle there and do   a couple of hunderd  really clean strokes. that really helps a lot when  i am on the board again. i wear rubberboots while i do it, to avoid  wet feet. people who pass me by are in awe, when they  see the madman. eddie

OK, I used to live in the Southern US (Atlanta, GA), and used to train for nordic ski marathons by rollerskiing on the local roads.

Most people I encountered definitely thought I was a bit mentally challenged.  But compared to the description of your training method, it was nothing....  Maybe you should wear a crash helmet too, and start muttering to yourself as they pass by :)
