There have been a lot of photos floating around online of people taking their SUPs off big drops or down meaty rapids. I am officially calling BS to any picture that doesn't show the whole sequence. Anybody can stand on an SUP and drop into anything. That doesn't mean they made it. It sure doesn't prove you styled it. Besides, why not just shoot some video? There is no disputing video. I'm not saying don't post pictures. I'm just saying, show me you styled it, before you write how awesome you are. No SUP Posers!
Case in point

EXACTLY! He caught it on video. Nice job.
Evan...Feel free to ask if some one stuck, styled, stomped, or just stayed on the board on a drop...I think everyone is pretty honest out here and will answer honestly. Not everyone has a sequence or video...but I think SUPers can be trusted. No need to sounds so stressed. We are all just having fun on boards and sharing pictures or video and trying to learn how to SUP whitewater or make boards better for it.
Here is a link to a sequence of photos running Valley Falls on the Tygart River. (http://www.ridestride.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=213&c=2)
Or here is just one photo:

The impact of landing brought me to my knees. Free fall drops like this have been the hardest for me because of the impact to absorb. This drop is easy in a kayak but was really tough on a Stand Up Board.
I have some video that I will post when I get a chance to get it off the camera.
Simon Robinson took all the photos...he is awesome with a camera.
Ok. I will make sure to get the official clearance from you before I post any more photos. I'm sure Dan is stoked about his atta' boy.
Gas for trip to Gauleyfest: $45

Eating SH** at Sweets Falls in front of hundreds of people as they look on and cheer: PRICELESS!
THERE ARE SOME THINGS MONEY CANT BUY, FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THERES ALWAYS LAUGHING AT YOURSELF TO MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER...
Life is too short to take every moment serious..live, love, and laugh... oh and don't forget to STAND UP
You mean like the beat down I got at the base of the 3rd drop of the 15' seven sisters falls? Landed on the board, started to glide away from the base, caught the upstream rail, fell backwards into the falls and BAMMO - Beat down time!
Ha ha ha
For the photo seq, check out the next Standup Journal from Clay!
