well i am going to label what happens when you first try to SUP!! KOOK FEET!! Its what you get the first time you ever get on a board and try to go straight out into 3 foot surf!! Feeling pretty confident in my water skills , i went and got my buddies 11` foot board and paddle and by myself tried to SUP :o!! KOOK FEET as i will and feel free to use it is what happens when you R on your knees and the tractop rubs alllll the skin off you toes and tops of feet!! Standing was WAY harder then i thought it would be" go figure", but after trying to do nothing but catch waves and falling . I finally paddle out pass the waves and took my time to find the sweet spot on the board and went for a 3 mile paddle fest!! the tide came in and the waves picked up pretty a little bit, its crazy standing up on that board i was telling my buddies where and when the waves were coming. I was in the water more than on the board, but after surfing for over 26 years, i have not had a smile sooo big in so long it was refreshing!! SO i share my KOOK FEET story with you and hope to see you guys out there ON MY FEET!! :D
Where were you surfing? I ask because I out yesterday surfing and noticed a couple of guys out one of which looked to be out for the first time. BTW the kook feet subsides with time on the water.
That is awesome! I hear you. Infact, I am enjoying my prone surfing more than I have in a while, because SUP got the stoke going again!
i live in saint augustine Florida, i was by myself.
