Title: what do you think of this fin-setup for a class 1 river?
Post by: captain twang on July 26, 2011, 11:51:56 AM
hi guys, since i have to paddle a bit to get where the action is, i need some sort of fins. is this a good idea? do two small fins add up to a larger one? i got no idea about waterfloatation-physics.

Well, you certainly have them all pointed in the right direction ;D

You may actually find that a single small fin is all you need for river paddling.

If you want ot protect your finbox you could locate a replacement brass fin screw and simply weaken it with a metal saw so that it will break before the board gets damaged.  Looking forward to seeing the hybrid fin!

Hey Captain Twang...Have you tried going out with just the 2 side fins and nothing in the center fin box?
