Title: carving 360's / noseride powerslides
Post by: endlessfight on May 26, 2011, 08:11:29 AM
i dunno the actual name for this trick, im a skateboarder so i call it a powerslide, haha. its the move that laird does all the time.

i was trying these the other night, and could not figure them out for the life of me. i would love some tips from people that can do these.

i would be riding left (im goofy) and wait for the wave to wall up - get in the steep section and get a noseride going. i would try with all my might to get the damn back end up my SUP to spin around but i couldnt move it at all. any tips?

i was also trying 'carving 360's in that i would do a really fast sharp botton turn, and hit the lip at nearly 12:00, try tothrow my weight towards the nose and then ride down the wave fins first and then spin out of it. well that wasn't working out at all either. i can get it to 12:00, but no spin.

thanks  ;D

what size board are u riding? i learned it on a 10'6 with some good rocker. i can do it on my 8'5 but it is way harder and mid way in the turn i have to use the paddle hard to bring it around. im still trying carving 360's as well cant really help on that one have u ever seen the shove it 180? also pretty sick saw it on some video on here.  i skate a lot as well and really want to bring ripping tricks to sup. like airs and deep gouges.
