What SUP do you ride?
And does your kayaking background have any effect on what SUP you chose?
I have an Imagine Ecoboard. Being a blow-molded boat/board makes it damn near indestructible unless you paddle where it's really cold. I would say that yes, my kayaking background plays a big part in my SUP approach. Now that I have been out at least 15 times since I got it (2 months ago), I'm to the point where kayaking was in the early 90's, avoiding rocks vs. using rocks. Basically, after yesterday's paddle, I'm trying to figure out how to rock spin. It's gonna take some running from 1 end of the board to the other. And how do you do a shove-it on a 10 ft long board?
You have to have SUPER burly calves!

I'd love to go but have other SUP obligations that week in CO. When you are in the southeast look me up on the Ocoee river in TN @ cascade outdoors. We have a great surf wave and plenty of class 2-3 all around.
