Hi there

I am attending a workshop in Boulder, Colorado in mid July and was thinking that it would be a good opportunity to give River SUP a crack.  I have been riding waves for 20 years and have spent the last two of these on a SUP here in Sydney, Australia so think its time I gave it a whirl.

Any info re best place to go (relative to Boulder) and also if I can rent some equipment.....what temp will the river be? etc  in fact any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Kev.

Hi There,

Right now most rivers are raging but the temps are around 39-43 F.  By mid July levels will drop & temps should rise a good 15 degrees.  Not super familiar w waterways right in Boulder, Allan Chateuax does SUP in Poudre Canyon which is about 30 minutes to an hour away - might wanna pm him for info.  C4 has a rep in boulder.  I just met him at the Teva Mountain Games - so if I find his card I pass along info for rentals & such.
Hope you enjoy your trip out here to Colorado  :)

Thanks a lot for all your help and suggestions.  I have contacted the people at Confluence and will give that a crack. Hopefully I can latch on to a day trip a little further a field as well.
