New year means maybe getting another toy.  I have really enjoyed my Bark 18 and my F-18 each having its pros and cons.  I was originally going to get an OHANA as I live near the "factory" and would get to be sure it was done right but the guys never contacted me so I got the f-18.  Being well aquainted with all sorts of shipping damage I was surprised the f-18 came in perfect condition.

Anyhow, if anyone has any feedback about Ohana's boards I would love to hear it.  The word around the battle of the paddle is that "they are fast but not durable..."  (kinda like a ferrari LOL)

Rudders?\

Thanks yall

Bark's are better quality, IMO.  Fast AND durable.

Surprised not to hear more.  They certainly clean up at most of the races...but put Danny Ching on anything with a paddle and the results are the same.  I am going to demo the 18'6 race board and if it feels good I will do a higher vol version for the heavy guy.  They are developing a new rudder system with two pedals that sounds interesting...

I did not realize they were out for public consumption. I have a 10' Ohana step deck from way back. I would love to have one of his newer SUP's. OHana website says nothing of availability. Where did you see one for sale?

There were tons of ohana boards at the battle of the paddle and they seem to be winning almost all the local races.  I do not mean to attribute this to their boards, they probably just have the fastest local guys motoring...but they seem to really like the boards....the shape is a different and I was very curious...what intersted me it the new rudder design with dual pedals (more like flattened surfski pedals???) innovation is always fun.

I do think for me gear is part of the fun of paddling.  It is a great feeling to be "one" with your gear and feel that it is giving you all the comfort and performance and is designed right...cars, guns, knives....whatever, having the best or what works best for you is a joy.
