What Size River Board?

I want to get into river SUP what size board should I get.

Yo D, you will be safe with something in the 10 foot range...fast enough to get you through the Rapids and still short enough to surf some features. Once you get used to the flow you can step down in size if you choose.

Personally I like boards that are higher volume ... I can do much more on a thicker board when running rapids.  I also like to have some speed for running rapids, I am in the 10-11 foot range but it is really personal preferance and what size you are...I am 170-175 and 6 ft tall.
