SUP Sweets Falls Picture and River Festival with SUPs to try...

I was at the Gauley River in West Virginia and was able to get on the river and SUP some of the rapids.  Here is a picture that was taken of a run I had over Sweets Falls:

The board is a Stride Airlite HD River SUP...if anyone out there is going to the Gauley River Festival and wants to try out a SUP built for the river there will be demo boards at the takeout of the Upper Gauley(at the take out pool which is huge and has some currents at the top of the pool for practicing some river SUP skills)

The festival is primarily for kayakers but SUP will have  presence and off the next few years I am pretty sure that precense will grow.  Very cool festival with music, food, outdoor watersport(mostly kayaking) companies.  Usually 5 to10 thousand paddlers (probably only a dozen SUPers this year.

The event is this weekend.

There are some big pools on the river and a really beatiful lake for SUP...so really any stand up paddleboards would be fun to paddle.
