Flights to El Salvador increase - wow!

Last October I flew to El Salvador for a surftrip - American Airlines roundtrip from Virginia base price for $362 (bought ticket in July). I looked today for the same week this fall and the same base price on AA is $598. Anyone else seeing the huge price increases or should I wait until the summer to see if the price goes down? Thanks
