Got a nice big foil setup, GoFoil 2600 with 23 tail using a V2 70 cm mast. Probably need to switch the board as well from a 7'3" casey aviator elite to something a lot longer and skinnier.

Advice was to move the mast as far forward as possible but I am really starting to think that the mast should be about 3/4 of the way back instead with rear foot over the mast and front foot at or in front of the leading edge of the front wing. But I still haven't managed to get off the water with a paddle so what do I know.

Anyone using the V2 mast for flatwater/tidal foiling have insights on mast and foot placement?

wing it to find the mast placement. It's likely near the back of the tracks. Anyone saying otherwise, probably doesn't ride GoFoil.

Having said that, I think downwind boards are more forgiving of mast placement than much shorter boards.
