Thank you.  I caught up to Alan Cadiz at the very end but then fell off on the way to the finish line and he passed me.  Still, we finished 4th and 5th overall, not bad for old guys.

Here is an interview after the finish with James Casey who won the SUP Foil division, more videos coming soon:

Great Job Robert.  I/we were watching in real time.  It looked like a struggle to tack or something once you turned the final Northward leg.  You and Alan were neck and neck on the dot tracker.

Congrats to Nani Dalene too.  I texted her.  She is a ball of energy and stoke.  I met her on Oahu and she was telling me about getting barreled at Teahupoo on a kite.

This year-2024, the M2O was split into two races, the foil edition with SUP foil and wing foil divisions and the traditional paddle race with prone paddle board and SUP divisions on the following weekend.  I was able to compete in both races and it was an amazing experience.
There were only 11 competitors in the SUP division and I finished 1st in the 14' stock division and third SUP overall, super stoked about that.  Currently all the buzz is about foiling but I hope that traditional SUP racing makes a comeback, it's still a great way to get in shape and a lot of fun to ride bumps.  Here is a recap video of the SUP race:

Wow! Great job Robert. That's a heck of an accomplishment, especially on a 14.
