Any ideas how to remove painted graphics from carbon paddle blade?

You could rotate through the usual strippers. Original Goofoff has about all of the known deadly solvents that are known to cause cancer in California in one can. Wear gloves and a good mask. If it were me and I couldn't just live with the dipshit graphics I'd sand them off and clear coat the paddle. Or just sand enough to take the edges off the graphic and spray with a color.

I'm just going to wet sand through some varying grits. Probably end up spraying it like you predict.

That said, here's my favorite solution found online... "extremely toxic and flammable"  : )

"I work in the aerospace industry. There is a much more effective way than just sanding. if you can get your hands on a solvent called Methyl Ethyl Keytone, or MEK, used extensively in the aerospace/automotive/paint industries it will remove the paint and wont affect the integrity of the composite frame. this product is extremely toxic & flammable however, and great care must be taken in its' handling, use and disposal. read the material data sheet before use. wear the appropriate protective equipment ie; butyl gloves, respirator with organic vapour filter and eye protection as a bare minimum. use in a well ventillated area.

Scrub frame with MEK & scotchbrite. Use sparingly. Do not over-do it or you will start to scrub through the graphite! Wipe down with MEK soaked rag Repeat process if required. Rinse frame with water after use. Dispose of waste properly. Have a shower & wash clothes. Do not allow product to contact your watch! If you haven't already guessed, this stuff is seriously bad for you. That said, it's the industry standard for removing paint from composites. The only other effective way is medium blasting (not sand blasting!) and should only be done by trained professionals with purpose built equipment/facilities."

That much MEK will probably cost more than the paddle. It's about 40 bucks a gallon, and using it will probably shorten your lifespan, but other than that it's a great idea.

It looks like a sticker to me, very faint continuous line across the bottom of the graphics.  If that's the case, use a hair dryer, it will bubble up and basically fall off, assuming that it doesn't have some kind of clearcoat on top of it.

Thanks for the great ideas. Especially the ska band or Vans sticker ideas. I’m happy to report I found a product that removed the offending graphics completely, with no residue at all left over. And that product is ... Craigslist. Sold it.
