I'm not sure what you rip at more; surfing or playing guitar.  Nice moves on both.

Thanx, Zoo. Surfing and music have been such an important part of my life since as long as I can remember. They both have changed my life in so many ways.

Now I'm getting all surfercook sappy thinking about the Bamboo Ripper's last few days here with me. The Craig's list ad has had a fair amount of inquiries and it looks like tomorrow I will say good bye to the old girl. I don't have a garage or a big shed so no room in the stable.

One of my favorite sessions on it ever.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Check it out. The crew member that I met in the Coast Guard helicopter that salvaged the bell buoy (that washed up here in Surf City) messaged me about an 8'9" Bamboo Ripper. The thing looks real clean. $600 in VA. It was cool meeting him.

Been out on the 9'11". Buttery waves we had. Looked like it woulda been good for a foil w/the light offshores.

Good stuff as always Cookie!  Found myself down in Avalon for a few days and caught a couple little offshore peelers yesterday.  Forgot how fun offshore wind can be, and really forgot how overprotective NJ lifeguards can be!

Did find this though that really brought back some memories - the badges, not so much the vodka :)

Wow, wish we had hooked up. Avalon is about 45 miles south of me and I've never visited that town. I woulda trekked down for sure. I've known a few of the guards here in Surf City and alot of them are surfers and very cool. But some are not so dialed into surfing.  Not to much offshores in CA? Was offshore quite a few mornings in Encinitas that February I visited.
lol...beach badges are such a joke. I heard NJ is the only state where you need em. I think NY too. I actually broke down and bought one pre-season this year for my town. $30 for a season badge. Now that we have surfing outside the flags figured it was worth.
Good the vodka didn't bring back memories. alc is lame.
This is off the facebook page I started a few yrs ago to rally support.
