Foilboards, shorter is better.
« on: February 25, 2018, 08:14:27 AM »
Had a couple days to sample one of DK's newer shapes, it's a 6'6" and flies soo much better than my 8'4" SUP and even my 7'6" proner.

I think it’s more than length making it fly better.

Cool shots!  How is it to paddle when you're not flying?  Any idea how much volume there is?

Slow and steady as she goes.  No real glide paddling as expected.  Not sure on volume or other dims other than it's 6'6" sorry.

Looks awesome - Any hints for the non-Maui crowd on how to get a Dave Kalama custom (or non-custom) board?

All of Dave's foilboards are custom. He's pretty easy to get hold of though, even though he travels a lot. Facebook is probably the easiest route.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
