SUP in Surfing Mag 1975
« on: February 23, 2018, 01:23:42 PM »
Thumbing threw an old Surfing (RIP) mag circa Feb./March 1975, I found this shot of SUP surfing with a single blade paddle in Goa, India...barely remember seeing it...but, it did rattle an old synapse or two...I do remember the shot of Duncan Campbell at Malibu on the opposite page as I rode Bonzers then...

From my own personal experience and his stance, I can see he clearly has "upper" thigh rash.

One can see he has very poor form at the moment pic was snapped...I suspect had he not fixated on a member of the opposite gender on the beach with his pelvic thrust (aka "the ready mount") he would not be burying the nose of his board!  Distractions...umpf!

Looks likes anyone catching their first wave on a sup.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Admin, I think Canoe Drummond should replace ‘Zane v. OC-1’ for a while on the home page top feature. Let’s give Drummond some well deserved posthumous glory...

Drummond is a total badass.

But kudos to the original post for fashion and location. Thx wardog.
