Where ever he going, I'm thinking it's going to be associated with foils, he foils everything and Surfer Mag. knows that to the extent that he's become the go-to guy when talking foils.

It takes a quiver to do that.

He is actually going to paddle a new board made of empty cans of RedBull. They just need to make enough poor people drink all the cans first....

Now who will Connor cut off on a wave to the finish?  And who will grab his board with Kai MIA?  Hopefully he will race against Connor from time to time.  The rivalry always added some special interest.

I know sponsorship transition takes some time, but Kai hasn't been re-equipped yet, if he will be that is.
This is a pretty good pic from yesterday by Jimmie Hepp.

It takes a quiver to do that.

He won’t have to worry about that board just a quick trip back to the quatro factory and paint with new sponsor logos!

Kai has been riding surfboards and tow boards that Sean Ordonez had shaped while being sponsored by Naish for SUP, windsurfing, & kiting...

This vid clip shows him doing four sports in one day at Jaws...including, kiting his tow board...

Kai won't have problems lining up sponsors...he would be good to look outside of the surf industry...but, one recent rumor has it that Kelly Slater is on Maui trying to sign him to his clothing company, OuterKnown...;-)

i think HURELY/Nike will do something for him maybe start a signature line of boards distributed by nike hurley and can make money like LAIRD boards did when he became bigger than any company ..

Check number 11. There's your boy on the Stab rich list.

http://stabmag.com/style/the-rich-list-2017-edition/

If he's leaving Hurley, someone's coughing up cash. I can't see OuterKnown beating Nike dollars.

Can you hear that sound? That's every other SUP pro's jaw hitting the floor when they read this while at their night gig serving pasta in Hood River or Lahaina.

Interesting article.....just shows how little cash is paid for the comps compared to other sports!
