The GoFoil Maliko 280 is the biggest foil on the market and I got to try it a couple of times on downwinders.   I could not find much information on it, so I made a video review of the foil and am comparing it to the original Maliko foil.

Great review.  Looks like you are just getting used to the 280.  Sam P'ae reports, off the record, that he is able to ride small waves and get a 2 for 1 by pumping back out to sea and turning on the second wave.  He is 230#.

Small waves - Let's hear the report  8)

Thanks Beasho.  Sam has the Maliko 200 and likes using it in softer waves and he is able to pump back out with it for long distances.   I'm pretty sure he has not used the bigger Maliko 280 in the surf.

A fun session last week at a spot on the West side that's great for foiling.  I'm using our new 6'6 x 28.5 Easy Foiler board and testing the latest Blue Planet foil prototype:

The votes are in, the clicks have been counted and verified, it’s time to announce the most viewed surfing clip of 2017….

Last year we reported, somewhat disappointedly, that the most viewed surf video was not one of the many excellent feats of cinematography that graced our screens over the proceeding twelve months, but instead a sordid little number called ‘4 Surf Girls Wearing Body Point’ which boasted the following description: “These 4 surfer gals look like they’re wearing wetsuits, but look again! They’re actually wearing pasties, strapless thongs, and body paint!”.

Without wanting to be too disrespectful to the film makers, the clip had all the production value (and film burn effects) of a GCSE Media piece, but it turns out people just can’t resist tits covered by a fine layer of paint.

Anyway, this year, dear friends, the times appear to have a-changed, as 2017’s wining clip contains precisely zero half naked women. Instead it features an all star cast, with this year’s hottest surfing craze as its centrepiece. Behold, Kai Lenny and The Hydrofoil . . 4.5 million views . . .

Repost but worth acknowledging from here: http://www.wavelengthmag.com/most-viewed-surf-clip-2017/

Great session yesterday at the Currumbin Ally sitting super wide milking the small rollers. Tested out my new fixed pole mount with Dale Chapman and if you want a serious leg work out try going pump for pump with Starboard Pro rider Beau O'Brian to keep him in the shot. All 3 of us on the Go Foil IWA and just had a ball. Hope you enjoy the video.

Piros:  Great introduction to the IWA.

Something I have noticed with larger wings is the reduced frequency of pumps e.g. small wing quick pumps, larger wings slow and more powerful pumps.  Your pumps on the IWA were noticeably slower than comparable videos on the KAI for example.

Yeah good pick up Beasho , 100 % agree  much more drawn out pump plus we also seem to be off setting our feet more as the wing tips get wider.
