filling from scuba tank
« on: August 15, 2017, 07:23:08 PM »
ok, my friend at work was a scuba instructor in his glory years.
he thinks that getting a tank and some couplers and regulators
you could, in theory, fill an ISUP!
has anyone actually tried it?

Yup. He's right. I filled mine with nitrogen because all my scuba tanks are in Maui, but it's the same principle. A typical scuba tank holds 80 cubic feet of air. A cubic foot is 28 liters, a 280-liter board will take 10 cubic feet. One tank will, therefore, do 8 fills (maybe).
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
