Not taking anything away from Patrice Guénolé - but keep in mind, that move is much easier on a lower-volume board since as you pull yourself up the board sinks down.  I'm pretty sure I can do that on my 5'10" Davey Sky Reviver (groveler) but don't bet on it...

This is kind of funny, because that's basically the move I've always done since switching over to SUS, and had that dang paddle to deal with...and never paid attention that others might be doing something different.
