Coreban Corby
« on: April 01, 2016, 06:08:31 PM »
Apparently Coreban now has a tomo style type surf sup call the Corby.  I saw one around a week ago and kept forgetting to ask about them on here. It looked decent and the weight was not too bad. I have heard they make decent boards  so I was curious about these.

From the website it seems they make them in 3 sizes.  I was wondering if anyone on here has tried one.

They are full up where I sus and guys and girls are ripping on them.
Good build quality, light as can be and really turn well. They are too advanced for my skill level but many of my surf buds are riding them and love them.
Coreban are really making good stuff and because it is South Africa based we get to see all the new stuff first.

Maybe consider a Deep or Gulliver custom (Tomo) shape from AUS or contact Tino from Sunova to discuss a custom?

Shipping expense is no big deal from there as you make up the cash difference in a favorable exchange rate.

Thanks for the info everyone.

That 7'10 at my weight (190) would not be a problem.

Supposedly, as I remember what I was told, these are a carbon build just like a starboard or Jp but priced at 1500 for this year only.  Apparently Coreban wants to make a better effort at getting their boards out this year.  If I am incorrect in this info, please correct me. they looked good in person, so that is why I was inquiring.

I love their stuff. They've never really marketed enough in the states but great build, great shapes.
