Pretty excited to see Infinity offering a quality production board (no more contract with Boardworks) that not only looks great but has some great detail like custom pads, SUPspension technology, a great handle and a range of sizes to fit almost everyone. I really like when a production board can be mistaken for a custom and the sneak peak of the RNB's look pretty awesome. Blackfish and Whiplash raceboards are being made in the same run. Exciting to see what they're up to.

Nice, but pricey.  I like that they have a good range of sizes, it's hard to find a production SUP under 90L and they have 3 to choose from :-).   For the price though I'd rather go custom and save some $.
Home Break: Doheny
Tic Tac v3 (Hoglet): 6' 6" x 23" x 3.6" x 67L
Omni: 6' 9" x 23" x 3.75" x 68L
Tic Tac (OG): 7' 0" x 22.75" x 3.5" x 70L
In The Pink (Incoming): 8' 0" x 22.9" x 3.25" x 70L

I think $2,199 is competitively priced when you look at the construction and other companies that are offering carbon performance surf shapes. I'm pretty sure that retail on Starboard and Naish carbon performance boards is upwards of $3K, or at least close to it. Sure you could get a custom from Infinity for a little bit less but I think this construction is going to easily out live the life of a custom.

FYI, carbon boards generally outlast custom boards made from traditional materials.

You're paying $500 over for a board that could last years.

I'm just speaking from my experience.

Just a point (not relative to Infinity)

But Sunova's Carbon wood surf designs are under $1700
and raceboards just about 2K
Just as light as anybody elses and WAY STRONGER

Infinity makes great products no doubt...You guys brougt up the price thing

I would love for someone who is impartial to test the various production boards for strength and actual weight. As it stands it's all just marketing hype.

For the first test, Just get Sup the Creek to jump up and down on them

I wholeheartedly agree. I never brought price into this. I really didn't intend this thread to turn into X brand is cheaper and stronger than Y brand. Let's try to keep this on point for those that might be interested in the actual title of this thread. We could always start a thread that compares different brands against others. Maybe these Infinity's are way stronger than their competitors, maybe not.

This isn't Infinity's first taste of production boards, they have years of experience through their contract with Boardworks. Now they're taking it on their own and to be honest, I'm excited to see the end result. Nothing against any other brand out there but personally I would much rather buy a board from a company that does extensive and continuous R&D on their SUP shapes, meaning they surf them, they race them, they refine them and they look for feedback from all different sources. I'm not saying other brands don't do that, I'm saying that Infinity does. I like that.
