Sorry, but someone's got to do it....yeah....I know it was a fun summer....some nice little bumps and all....but geez it's mid September.

My postings correlate inversely with swell height and I find myself watching too many vids lately, and posting too much.

Haven't had a hold down/cough-spit or lump-in-throat for like a year.

Yes, there's another puny depression in the right place with a 50% chance  of strengthening, and I wish no harm to anyone from any storm...but the water's warm, I banked time from work, and have earned enough matrimonial coupons for some righteous waves

Overhead for two days will get me by until I return to the Valley Isle in November.

I put a string of undercarriage blue LED lights in my outdoor shower....How desperate is that?

I second those emotions, been even worse in southern RI, absolutely worse summer I can remember....my surf tracker has 10 good surf sessions from June 13 thru Sept 13.

I'm making lemonade out of lemons....I've been in Newport since this past Sunday afternoon and have been out every single morning from 6:30-9:00am at 2nd beach.  Monday am was fun at 2-3', Tuesday 1-2, Wed-this morning ankle slappers, so lots of paddling from one end of the beach all the way done to the other and back and forth...tons of fish, crabs, and robin fish (hate those!).  Water nice and clear so lots of cool stuff. 

Morning's all week have been GORGEOUS!  It's been VERY refreshing to spend time each morning chatting with fisherman, walkers, and a few proners and SUP'ers.  Compared to the usual rat race of the DC beltway I've been loving life!

During the day we've been playing tourist, eating, and looking at lots of houses as we continue to search for a potential get away place up  here in the next year or so.

We've got another 5 days here so fingers crossed forincreased swell...at this point, 2-3' would be welcome!

Life is good!

I need the juice...straight up lemon juice...bitter and harsh but straight up..

I can stay distracted, but I want to hear the drop....the woosh....I miss that

All good Outcast,  I typically log in each day in hopes of reading about great New England sessions from all you guys - as well as those in HI, Socal, mid-Atlantic, Pac NW, Southeast,  CR, etc..   And it really makes my day when there's some pics or a vid! 

I have to take whatever Mother Ocean gives for the times I'm here visiting family and friends. This is my 6th visit to Newport since May and I've got one more planned in mid-Nov for  wedding.  Wx has been great for each trip this year and Ive managed to log a good number of hours on the Allwave.

I'm sure youll be riding clean and glassy chest-plus before ya know it!!!  And when you do please post some pics/vids so smucks like me can enjoy those magical sessions while sitting in gridlock on some beltway somewhere only to day dream....

Ida know what's going to happen.

I took JPeter"s advice and went windsurfing for a few days.

Going to go say "Hi Neighbor" and scrounge some low level stuff, but maybe....just maybe    a bump this weekend+?

Can't take anymore "shear" disappointment ....but if I could just find someplace tucked out of the wind I might hold onto my sanity
