Outer Reef

Nice outer reef surf today. Glassy, clean, shoulder to head high with the occasional surprise. And all the wicked punch of waves that traveled a few thousand miles without hitting anything. I got some real smokers, but tweaked my shoulder a little in one of the harder poundings. I stopped and called Headmount (had my phone in my camelback so I could have some surfing music--but he didn't answer. While I was fiddling with the phone I drifted in a little and got pasted. That'll teach me.
