Need some tips to get started with a wind - SUP setup.  I currently have a 9'10 Allwave that I am very comfortable on.  I would consider myself intermediate in the surf and am planning to downsize to a 9 ish foot board soon.  I dont have any experience with windsurfing.

I'm interested in getting a sail as a means to spend more time on the water when the waves are lousy.  Im not particularly interested in performance, just trying to have fun!  I'm in Charleston SC and we have plenty of windy days.

What size sail should I be looking for?  (I'm 6'4 and 240lbs)
Are sails universal for the board?
What do I look for in used craiglist sails?
What is the learning curve going to be like?  Can I figure this out myself, or should I plan to take a lesson?

Thanks for your input!

I  don't know who the Folly Beach  SUP retailers but you could  look up Brian Schuck or Glenn  Tanner for some hands-on help.  Brian is an old windsurfer-surfer-kiter and part of OceanFit.com on Isle of Palms.  A few people do SUP-sailing on Isle of Palms.  The best source of windsurf gear is middle-aged and older  kiters.
