Well I went for my first bass river run this morning, and it was so so nice. I missed it so much. It wasn't as cold as I thought, and gloves came off immediately. Ohana 14 TR, Makani Kawa fin. Werner bent shaft fuse.
No moorings or docks in, no power traffic at all. I saw a few Kayakers. I have been working out this winter so I had a very good run for the first of the season. Tide was running about .5-1Knot with me. About a 5-10 knot tail breeze.
I had a waterproof bluetooth speaker suction cupped to the deck and listened to my "downwinder" playlist from my phone, then every 1/8 mile the woman's voice in GPSmotionX tells me my average speed and how far I travelled. I used to hear it all muffled through my fanny pack, but now it comes through the speaker clearly.
5.37 miles 57 minutes. 5.44 mph average. I use a highly sensitive accurate GPS and this is what it said when I analyzed it in GPSactionreplay
