Great White spotted on Cape Cod

Shoulda had a camera today. I was running an errand with Diane and stopped at Dave Peterson's shop to look at the new 9' he's glassing for me. Sweet. No, I mean really sweet.

Anyway, on the way out I pulled Dave's bitten board out of the rack and showed it to Diane. At first her expression was "what am I looking at?" Which changed very suddenly to "Holy shit!!!" when she realized she was looking at a big arc of toothmarks from what a shark expert said was a 12' Tiger  (I think it was bigger, but 12' is enough). Dave came down from the glassing room and related the story to her in his very understated way. Her eyes were as big as saucers. I don't think she'll get in the pool without checking very carefully.

I wish I had caught that first expression. It was so classic.

And I might be wrong, but I think the abominable snowman is humping your Christmas tree.

Actually, hibernation was kind'a over on Sunday morning for those you looked beyond the so-so surf on Mike's cam.  A small handful, including legends Creek and Axe, were in attendance.

Getting my new / retro Vec wet is next on the so-called bucket list. I'm getting arthritis from keeping my fingers crossed.   A solid 5.0'r at Kalmus will do the trick!
