Really for a youthful gymnastic featherlight water dog.
Not Realistic for a 50 year old stiff looking for a few peaceful rides and a nice stable platform to relax on in between waves.

If performance is all you want to get out of a board, save money on buying paddle and surf a 6'0" x 18.5" x 2.5".

I personally love it! I like seeing the sport that I support pushing the limits!

I doubt I will ever see myself on a 24" board but it is good to see. I am not jealous.

Keep killing Zane!

Much more interesting to watch. :)

I would be interested to see how the board paddles and the stand around time between  waves. Not like it would be something i would ever get close to be able to use but that must be a skill on its own.

No doubt.  ... unless you were hoping for a near death experience.  ;D

Surfing, you get to choose between a shortboard that turns on a dime & doesn't have to float you, a longboard that paddles fast and cruises, or a fun board that takes a little from both. Size discussions in SUP also have to include rider weight, age, agility and ability.  Someone like me shouldn't waste any of my valuable remaining hours worrying about what size board I can fit on.

Kid really pushes the boundaries of sup.  I'm sure he can do dozens of things on a prone shortboard that weren't even considered when I was his age. ... but I bet I can find a book in the library faster...  ;)

Actually, I heard there was a library here, but when I tried to find out more someone told me it was all just fictional.

Rail to rail?

I think Tom Carrol is the only surfer who actually surfs rail to rail, truly? Please correct me if I am wrong?

I think he prone paddled out?

isnt zane under 150lbs and like 5'8"? i mean if you're that small your ability to ride those boards will obviously be increased. step that up to my height and weight, and the board would be like 7'5"x26" ... which there is still no way i could stand on it  ;D :D

anyone else notice that first surfer paddling for the shoulder, then goes to duck dive and shoots his board out behind him? da fuq

I never ever ditched my board, really not good practice!
