Hi Guys-

Anyone know if any of the longboard bags will work for a Surftech Laird?  It's 11' by 27."  I'll spring for one of the SUP specifics if I have to, but seems like the Dakine is $100 cheaper if it'll fit.

Thanks,
Gabe

I just bought a nice FCS padded board bag that's 11'2" and they're a pretty good price. (about $130)

DavidJohn -

Thanks for info - What board are you using it for?  I found this place on a basic search too that has a bunch.

Not sure if it helps but the Dakine SUP bags fit a little bigger than their size.  I have the 10'4 bag and it fits the 10'6" PSH without any problems.

I bought an 11-0 Stand Up Zone bag and it absolutley swallows my 11x27 Laird.  You could probably fit two boards in there.  I would reccomend trying before buying!

tautologies

I use the big dakine travel bag to protect my boards. If you get the new Naish boards they come with a a day use board bag :-)

I can also say the same for the Jimmy Lewis Bag.  you can fit an small country in it.  It is just HUGE!  I had before I got my Dakine because I needed something quick.  Was waaayyyy too big for any of my boards.

the big Dakine bags fit the 11'6" Naish and Starboard UB 11'2" no problem-snug on the 30" width plenty of length room.  Nice bags if a little pricey

we have been working on a few dr. Frankensteins. Issues are that all of us have X shapes and Y lenghts. Now the big concern is day vs. Travel. I hate to say it but there is really no difference in our materials. Padding, outter and inner shell .... We all know we must pack and wrap but day and travel differences for ours is none. Just add padding like any other travels one
Makes. Still trying to figure costs and see if would fathom using lower quality for simple day bag. In the end we look at how long you expect it to be with you, I see it being there for life.   The return to the drawing board continues.
Costs.... Well, it is made here not over there. Pretty much a draw with others but the funds are distributed back into everyones lives and the beloved costs of living and doing business in California.
