Delaware Water Gap

Anybody have any experience paddling around the Gap? I'm in central PA and looking for a place with enough distance of _deep enough_ water to do some distance training for the Chattajack 31. I definitely found that the Susquehanna is the wrong river. Pools and riffles and just waaaay unpredictable. Tried paddling my 14' Laird Bark there last week and had that _knife at a gun fight_ feeling. Google Earth make the Water Gap look pretty good. Looking for 15-20 miles of predictable depth water. I'm in Harrisburg for work.
